One 35-minute Sunday sermon from the church's sermon podcast, "Room at the Table" (Luke 14:12-14). Nothing else was needed from the church.
The guest list says a lot about what we think a meal is for.

Hello Kestrelmoor family,
On Sunday, Pastor Ellen continued our fall series in Luke with a message called "Room at the Table," from Luke 14:12-14.
Jesus tells his host that the next time he throws a dinner, he should invite the people who can't invite him back. Pastor Ellen's point was simple: the guest list says a lot about what we think a meal is for.
One question to carry into this week:
- Who is someone you could make room for this week, at a table, in a conversation, or on your calendar?
Harvest Dinner. Our Harvest Dinner is Sunday, November 15, after the 10:30 service in the fellowship hall. Sign up to bring a dish or to help set up at the welcome table.
Missed Sunday? The full message is on our sermon podcast.
See you Sunday,
Kestrelmoor Community Church

Who's on the guest list?
In Luke 14, Jesus gives his dinner host some unexpected advice: invite the people who can't pay you back. In Sunday's message, "Room at the Table," Pastor Ellen asked what our own guest lists say about what we think a meal is for.
She ended with one question for the week, and it's a practical one: who could you make room for, at a table, in a conversation, or on your calendar?
Four ways to keep the conversation going.
The same week, as branded graphics.
On the Text + Graphics plan, the same episode also becomes 3-5 graphics a week in your colors: quote cards, a carousel and a blog header.
- A sermon card with the title, the passage reference and the series name
- A "question for the week" card for Instagram stories
- A Harvest Dinner card using only the date and time the church confirms
Illustrative sample for a fictional church. The pastor's name, sermon and event date are examples; real issues use only what was said in the sermon and the details the church confirms. We never include prayer requests or members' personal details.
